As Design Lead, I helped foster a close partnership with Product, User Research, and Engineering in order to develop the strategic vision through both extensive consultation with key partner teams (ex: Motors, Fashion, Collectibles), as well as with eBay Product and Design leadership.
A Problematic Buyer Experience...
User feedback over time has clearly indicated that the tools available on the Search Results Page (SRP) for narrowing down results creates a high level of cognitive load due to various factors, including:
• High density of elements on page
• Duplicate entry points
• Lack of clarity on ‘next best actions’
